So you were

shown a
Red Card ...

If you are a Player or Coach who received a Red Card or suspension, follow these steps:

  1. Report the Red Card to your club and the League within 24 hours.

  2. Print the Red Card Completion form.

  3. Pay any fine assessed online through GotSport (see button on this page).

  4. Serve the card at your next FYSA game(s) with your primary team* and have the completion form signed by the Official.

  5. Your Team Manager, Coach, or you send the completed form to redcards@thefloridaleague.com

  6. Before playing your next game, have your coach verify that you are no longer redlined on the roster and that you do not have any unserved suspensions.

  • Suspensions must be served with your primary team.

  • Suspensions may be served during an FYSA-sanctioned tournament.

  • Players serving cards are not permitted to play in any FYSA event while under suspension, but may serve the cards during those events. A player may be included on the roster for a tournament, sit on the bench, and serve the suspension, with their primary team.

  • When a red card is entered, players and coaches are automatically suspended. The TFL VP then reviews the suspension and makes any needed adjustments.

Reporting and Serving

When a red card is issued during a match, it must be reported. ALL THREE (3) the referee, home team, and away team are responsible for sending in their report within 24 hours. We also ask that red cards be reported along with entering the score.

The referee should use this supplemental referee report and submit it to redcard@thefloridaleague.com. The referee assignor should also be included.

When a player has served a red card, it must be marked on the game match report and sent to redcards@thefloridaleague.com confirming that suspensions have been served. This should be completed no later than 8:00 PM on each Thursday until the player is cleared to play from serving his or her suspension

All red cards are subject to disciplinary examination and may be assessed additional games according to severity and repetition. All decisions are final and not open for appeal or subject to change.
